Parents and Citizens Association

The Parents and Citizens Association is a body of interested parents and community members who meet regularly on the third Monday of each month during school terms in the school library at 7.30 p.m.

The Hunters Hill High School P&C has been very active in ongoing support for the school over the years. The strong community backing of the P&C and past-students were instrumental in successfully challenging a plan to close the school in 2000.

Recent initiatives of the P&C have led to improvements in the safety and comfort of the playground amenities for the students, support for the school's technology program and the development of a commercial kitchen facility within the Food Technology block.

The P&C support the educational objectives of the school through:

  • consultation with the school executive and staff
  • supporting student learning opportunities
  • communicating with prospective school families
  • fundraising for the betterment of the school
  • managing the school's canteen
  • managing the school's uniform shop
